We are looking for a preparedness and readiness manager to ensure safe and uninterrupted operation of Caruna’s electricity transmission and distribution network. The role combines electrical network operation, electric safety duties, and critical national security-oriented readiness and maintenance work. You will be responsible for parts of the network’s monitoring, guidance, fault handling, and development of operations. You will act as the safety manager for Caruna companies and handle preparedness and contingency planning for Caruna and Caruna Espoo Oy, including acting as the operations controller for Caruna Espoo. You will draft targets and business plans for your own area and contribute to the long-term development of the entire unit. You will actively participate in preparedness-related stakeholder collaboration and national resilience development with other critical actors. You will contribute to developing electrical safety expertise and training. The position reports to the head of operations and is based in Espoo, Leppävaara. Caruna uses a hybrid model with at least 3 days on-site per week. The candidate should be ready to come to the office from remote work with a few hours’ notice. The role offers a competitive monthly salary (6500–7500 €/month) depending on skills and experience, plus a broader range of employee benefits. We expect several years of relevant work experience and a broad understanding of the electricity network from technical, operational, and financial perspectives. S1 electrical certification and a suitable electrical engineering degree are required. You should have strong presentation, communication and influencing skills and the ability to understand the network’s operating environment and make timely decisions.
