Group Supervisor

We are seeking a permanently employed, North Sami-speaking group supervisor by 15:00 on 25 August 2026. The position is located at Inari kindergarten with the possibility to work in other Inari municipality daycares as needed. The group supervisor’s duties include guiding children and supporting independent activities, and performing other daycare tasks as required. You will participate with the team in planning, implementing, evaluating and developing early childhood education. The role mainly involves working in groups with children who need support. We value initiative, developmental approach, good interaction skills and prior experience in similar tasks. The permanent position requires Finnish language proficiency and North Sami language skills. Experience and English proficiency are considered advantageous. The job requires a qualification under the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018); a suitable professional qualification or other equivalent degree is acceptable. The working time averages 38 hours 15 minutes per week. The task-specific pay level is 2354.94–2459.77 euros per month. Inari bonus of 3%, seniority allowances and Sami-language bonuses plus benefits determined by the municipality apply. The position starts on 7 September 2026 or by agreement. If a Sami-speaking candidate cannot be recruited, a temporary assignment of another suitable person may be offered.
