We are seeking a procurement intern in Turku for a fixed-term internship. The role is an excellent fit for a higher-education student who needs an internship as part of their studies and wants to gain practical experience in procurement. Why Finferries? Finferries is a responsible, reliable employer and a renewing, efficient maritime transport specialist. Maintaining effective transport connections in a country dotted with thousands of lakes and islands requires cable ferries, ferries and connecting vessels. We are the largest shipping company in our sector and offer work that is significant to society. What water separates, Finferries connects — responsibly and with care for the environment. What will your duties include? Your duties include supporting the procurement department in various purchasing tasks. In this role, you will be a key part of managing material flows and ensure smooth deliveries both to vessels and elsewhere in the organisation. Placing purchase orders Coordinating the procurement of spare parts, supplies and consumables needed aboard vessels Processing purchasing requests received from different organisational units Active cooperation with vessel crews, the technical department and suppliers What kind of intern are we looking for? In addition to relevant studies, we hope you have an independent and proactive approach to work and are ready to handle tasks independently. We value technical expertise and previous experience in procurement, but neither is essential for success in the role. Good IT skills are needed because the work involves using systems and processing orders. We hope you can start work at the beginning of December and continue until the end of March. The start date can be agreed flexibly. The internship is paid. Interested? For more information about the position, contact Commercial Director Henrik Kulovaara on weekdays from 9:00 to 15:00 at 040 7315 216 or henrik.kulovaara@finferries.fi. Please send your application and CV as soon as possible, but no later than 8 November 2026. Applicants may be interviewed during the application period.
