Do you like varied workdays and new encounters? Do you want to do meaningful work with the elderly, develop your skills and work where your expertise is needed? In the Helsinki home care resource pool, you work in a permanent employment relationship in the home care's own substitute staff. This is not gig work, but planned work in different home care teams. The work offers variety, diverse client encounters and the opportunity to develop your skills. Although the work is mobile, you belong to your own resource pool. You will have your own supervisor, a familiar work community and the home care team in which you are currently working. What is work in the resource pool like? In the resource pool, you work in the clients' own homes in different parts of Helsinki. You support their functional capacity, rehabilitation and safe everyday life as part of a multidisciplinary team. In your work: you support clients' functional capacity, rehabilitation and independent coping; you implement basic care, medication and other nursing tasks; you assess clients' well-being and act in changing situations; you record in the Apotti client information system; you cooperate with the multidisciplinary team and clients' relatives; you move to clients by walking, cycling, by car or by public transport. Why the resource pool? In all resource pools you get: permanent work in Helsinki home care; your own supervisor, a familiar work community and regular staff meetings; comprehensive orientation and everyday support; the opportunity to work in different home care teams and get to know different clients; versatile work where you can develop your skills. Resource pools 1-3 are for those who like varied workdays and want to focus on client work. In pools 1-3: client work is central - you have no own responsible clients; fewer written tasks than in many permanent home care positions; opportunity to develop skills in various client situations; varied workdays in different home care teams. Areas: Pool 1 (South/West), Pool 2 (Central/West/North), Pool 3 (East/Southeast/Northeast/North). Resource pool 4 operates in the whole Helsinki area and focuses mainly on longer substitutions. Longer periods allow for deeper familiarity with clients, the work community and the area. You can influence your working areas by discussing them regularly with your supervisor. In pool 4: longer periods in different teams; opportunity to get to know clients better and follow changes in their functional capacity; participate in the planning and implementation of client care; opportunity to utilize and develop RAI expertise and skills required as a responsible nurse. What do we expect from you? You are a licensed practical nurse and enjoy mobile work. You work independently in clients' homes but also naturally as part of a multidisciplinary team. Additionally: you can work morning and evening shifts (between 7-21.30), also on weekends; you meet clients with respect and encourage them to maintain their functional capacity; you have good physical capacity for mobile work; you have good interaction skills; you want to develop your skills and commit to working in home care. We consider as an advantage: experience in home care; Apotti skills; Class B driver's license and driving skills with a manual car or bicycle. What do we offer? Versatile and meaningful work. Comprehensive and individual orientation; extensive training and development opportunities; City of Helsinki's diverse staff benefits, such as lunch benefit and Epassi Flex (sports, culture, wellbeing and commuting benefit, max €550/year depending on length of employment), staff sports services and staff fund; possibility to apply for an Auroranlinna rental apartment. A warm work community where you are valued. Eligibility: Practical nurse degree and registration in the central register of professional persons of the License and Supervision Authority (formerly Valvira). Good oral and written Finnish skills (at least level B2.1). Before the selection decision, the applicant must present an occupational health assessment of their ability to perform the tasks and a certificate regarding a drug test.
