AI Adoption & Automation Lead

Between AI potential and real transformation, there is usually just one person. Maybe it's you. Everyone talks about Artificial Intelligence. Very few organisations actually turn it into measurable business impact. At Etteplan, AI is not an experiment. It is part of our strategy. Our AI facilitator pilot showed something more useful than a business case: real demand from our teams, and the first working use cases in daily work. What we do not have yet is scale. Now we are looking for the person who will take that success to the next level. As AI Adoption & Automation Lead, you will drive AI adoption across our organisation, identify automation opportunities that create real value, and help shape the framework for sustainable and responsible AI usage. Your scope is Business Unit Smart Factory Germany: around 200 engineers and specialists across five regions, serving customers in chemicals, pharma, oil and gas, energy and machinery. This is not a pure technology role. This is a transformation role. You will work at the intersection of people, business and technology, turning AI from something employees read about into something they use every day. Reporting directly to the Vice President Smart Factory Germany, you will influence not only the adoption of AI, but the future of work at Smart Factory, Etteplan Germany. What makes this role different? Most AI positions focus on building technology. This one focuses on changing behaviour and help people embrace it. You will create momentum, remove barriers and help people discover how AI can make their work better, faster and more meaningful. You will shape a role that did not exist before and become one of the key drivers of AI transformation within our Business Unit Smart Factory at Etteplan Germany.You work directly with our Group AI organisation in Finland, which sets the group-wide direction, with the AI experts and facilitators in Etteplan's other business units and countries, and with your closest counterpart in Germany: a newly created Applied AI Engineer who builds AI solutions inside our engineering work. Success will not be measured by presentations or concepts.Success will be measured by adoption, automation and measurable business impact. Your Mission 🚀 Make AI part of everyday work You help colleagues understand, adopt and benefit from AI.Through workshops, office hours, practical coaching and a growing network of AI Champions, you create enthusiasm and confidence around AI.You translate complex AI topics into real-life use cases that people can immediately apply in their daily work. ⚙️ Reimagine how work gets done You challenge existing processes and identify opportunities where AI and automation can remove manual effort, reduce complexity and improve efficiency.From Sales and Back Office to Order Intake and Internal Operations, you drive initiatives that save time and allow teams to focus on higher-value work.You don't just find opportunities. You make them happen. 🌍 Drive transformation across the organisation You collaborate with leaders, specialists and international AI experts across the Etteplan Group.You connect strategy with execution and ensure that global AI ambitions become local business results.Your influence extends far beyond individual teams. 💡 Turn efficiency into value As AI accelerates engineering delivery, traditional pricing models no longer reflect the value created. You work with Sales, Legal and Controlling to define how AI-enabled services are priced, packaged and commercialized. From recurring service offerings to new pricing strategies, you shape one of the most commercially important transformations in our business. ⚖️ Shape the future responsibly AI needs more than technology. It needs governance, transparency and trust. You build the reusable building blocks that make AI scalable: standard AI clauses, an NDA and contract check, and clear rules on what may be done with customer data in AI tools, covering customer requirements, intellectual property and the EU AI Act. You prepare and standardise. Legal, Sales and the P/L owners decide. Who we're looking for We are not looking for a traditional IT specialist or data scientist. We are looking for a bridge builder.Someone who understands business challenges, sees opportunities where others see routines and enjoys helping people embrace change. You are curious about AI, passionate about innovation and pragmatic when it comes to turning ideas into results.Most importantly, you know how to bring people with you on the journey. What you bring ✔ Exceptional communication, coaching and change management skills ✔ Strong affinity for AI, prompting, agents and automation technologies ✔ The ability to analyse and redesign business processes ✔ A hands-on mindset and a strong execution focus ✔ Empathy, credibility and the ability to inspire others ✔ Fluent German and English Nice to have ➕ Hands-on experience with LLM tooling: Claude or comparable assistants, prompt and skill design, agent frameworks, MCP connectors, or low-code automation ➕ Experience in service delivery, sales operations or order management processes ➕ Exposure to AI governance, contractual frameworks or commercial AI topics ➕ Training, facilitation or enablement experience Between AI potential and real transformation, there is usually one person.
