Practical Nurse

We are seeking three cheerful and energetic practical nurses for the on‑call home care team. Two positions are permanent with start on 14 September 2026 or by agreement. Additionally, one fixed‑term practical nurse position is available for 14 September 2026 to 31 December 2027. The practical nurse tasks are primarily in home care. The on‑call home care district covers northern, southern, western and eastern areas of South Karelia, encompassing all municipalities in the region. Each day brings new situations and experiences as we tailor care to each client’s individual needs. The work is dynamic and diverse, with continuous opportunities to develop your skills. The unit is full of development‑minded and positive energy; ideas are welcomed and implemented to improve daily work and the unit. You will be trained thoroughly to ensure you have the best prerequisites for independent work. This position involves two‑shift work with a rotation schedule. Requirements include a social and health care basic degree (practical nurse) and registration as a licensed health professional. A valid pharmacist’s licence for South Karelia region is required for the role; if needed, the licence can be completed in the unit. The employer requires a health certificate and vaccination against infectious diseases in accordance with Infection Act. A health certificate and background check as required by law will be requested. The application process includes verification of identity with an official document. 6‑month probation applies.
