Application Security Specialist

In this role, you will promote secure-by-design and secure-by-default practices, enabling business innovation, digital transformation and operational resilience. Your key responsibilities Develop and maintain application security standards, requirements and best practices Ensure security requirements are integrated into application development and procurement processes Establish and promote secure software development lifecycle practices Support integration of security controls into CI/CD pipelines Drive adoption of DevSecOps principles across development teams Provide expert guidance to project teams and application owners Increase awareness of application security risks and best practices What we are looking for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security or a related field 3+ years of experience in cyber security, application development, software engineering or related disciplines Understanding of SSDLC, OWASP Top 10, application security testing, secure coding, threat modelling, API security, authentication and authorization technologies, IAM and DevSecOps Experience with cloud-native and modern application architectures is preferred Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is an advantage What Outokumpu offers At Outokumpu, you will have the opportunity to work in an international environment and contribute to securing business-critical applications in a company with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and responsible operations.
