Healthcare Assistant

You will work as a practical nurse at Grannas, a small residential unit providing round-the-clock care for 18 residents in Nauvo. Residents can personalize their rooms with their own furniture and belongings, creating a homely environment. Staff are present 24/7, and the team includes a supervisor, two nurses, practical nurses, and two care assistants. You are responsible for basic care, nutrition, medication administration, and medical tasks during your shift as the responsible nurse. You will use various tools to assess residents' functional capacity and plan care, monitor and record changes in health status, and report these to the nurse. You will serve as a primary caregiver or as part of a primary caregiver team for designated residents and participate in onboarding and guiding new employees. Additionally, you will maintain and develop your professional skills and work in multidisciplinary teams and care networks. The work involves three-shift rotation. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and participate in care planning and implementation in close collaboration with other professionals. You will receive tailored onboarding and support, and help is always available if needed. We expect you to work responsibly and customer-oriented, observe residents' well-being carefully, document thoroughly, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Valid LOVe medication licenses, RAI expertise, experience working with people with memory disorders, and a hygiene passport are considered advantages. The working languages are Finnish and Swedish, and we require good oral and written skills in either Finnish or Swedish, as well as satisfactory proficiency in the other native language. The qualification requirement is a professional degree in social and health care (practical nurse) or an equivalent qualification, along with current registration in JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
