Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced power system studies (steady-state load flow, short-circuit, and dynamic stability analyses) for generation grid connection projects and transmission planning studies.
  • Model and analyze power systems for generation grid connection studies including solar, wind, hydro, thermal and energy storage.
  • Prepare comprehensive study reports from feasibility studies to detailed static and dynamic connection studies; address distributed generation integration and grid augmentation.
  • Deliver high-quality outputs within parameters and timelines; review colleagues’ work when necessary.
  • Provide specialist advice, training and present technical materials to internal and external clients.
  • Engage in technical development activities including conferences and industry presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems or related field).
  • 2-5 years of relevant working experience in power system modeling and analysis for grid connections and transmission projects.
  • Experience with power system studies: steady-state, short circuit, transient stability; EMT simulations and related fields are beneficial.
  • Experience with power system simulation software such as DigSILENT PowerFactory, Python scripting; other tools like Siemens PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP advantageous.
  • Experience working with transmission utilities/TSOs on interconnection projects or advanced grid studies.
  • Knowledge of Indonesian or Malaysian power system context beneficial.
  • Familiarity with international and local grid codes (IEC, IEEE) and operational requirements of power systems.
  • Strong analytical and team collaboration skills; excellent English communication. PE certification is a plus.
