Early childhood education assistant

We are offering short-term on-call positions in our municipal early childhood education services. There are substitute roles for child care workers and facilities custodians in our various daycares. This application registers you in the substitute system. After your application, we will contact you by email. You can choose in which daycares you work and when you work. Experience in day-care work is welcome but not mandatory. We require you to be at least 18 years old, proactive, cheerful, capable and confident to work both in a children’s group and within various changing work communities, and to have sufficient Finnish language skills. Before starting on on-call work, a criminal record extract not older than 6 months is required for working with children. If you do not have a copy, you can order it here. We also require a tuberculosis screening as legally required. We will send a secure email to which you respond with the documents and fill the tuberculosis form. After that you may choose a suitable Teams interview/orientation slot. We primarily train applicants for on-call early childhood work from early August after schools reopen, excluding the Christmas holidays. The application period closes for spring and summer and opens again in August when schools start.
