Pilke gently guides children onto the path of learning. At Pilke, early childhood education includes learning through play and gentle interaction. We see and recognise each child’s unique abilities and support their strengths. Pilke aims to be Finland’s best early childhood education provider. We will achieve this goal by working together. We are looking for an Early Childhood Education Teacher for Pilke Kieppi sports-focused daycare centre in Mikkeli. The work starts on 4 January 2027. Pilke Kieppi is located in central Mikkeli in new, comfortable premises. Children aged 0–6 can grow, learn and move in a safe and encouraging environment. We provide child-centred early childhood education and pre-primary education, where every child is met individually, gently and respectfully. We work closely with guardians. We listen, discuss and develop our activities together so that a child’s everyday life at daycare supports the wellbeing of the whole family. At Kieppi, movement is part of everyday life: joy, energy and doing things together. During the day, we move in many ways, indoors and outdoors. We explore different sports, taking the child’s age and stage of development into account. This gives children experiences of success, strengthens body control and helps them discover the joy of movement. At the same time, we learn to have a healthy and safe relationship with our own bodies. As an early childhood education teacher, you support and promote children’s growth, development and learning. You are familiar with the content of early childhood education plans and know how to put them into practice. You plan, assess and develop the group’s pedagogical activities and are responsible, as part of your role, for delivering high-quality pedagogy at your unit. You have a strong pedagogical approach, a positive and active attitude, good interpersonal skills and the ability to engage genuinely with children. We offer you: - A monthly salary of €2,831.64–€3,086.53 depending on your experience. - A regional availability supplement of €197.17 per month for a qualified teacher. - A Master of Education supplement of €153.75 per month for a holder of a Master of Education whose major is early childhood education. - A signing bonus of €1,500. - Support for further education and qualification in accordance with the 2030 eligibility requirements. - An inspiring, agile and gentle working culture that genuinely values professional expertise in early childhood education. - A work community committed to acting in the child’s best interests. - Varied training and learning opportunities. - The opportunity to work in sports-focused early childhood education. - Flexible learning environments and tools that support the work. - Effective SAK planning time. - A range of employment benefits, including good occupational health services, an outdoor jacket, bicycle, massage and recreation benefits. The selected person must have the qualification required by the Early Childhood Education Act for the position of early childhood education teacher and present a valid criminal records extract. Interested? Apply by submitting an application no later than 22 November 2026. Would you like to know more about Pilke and how we work? The power of gentleness is not just a Pilke daycare slogan; it describes how we work and meet children and adults.
