Cook for Päivölän opisto’s student restaurant. We are seeking one permanent employee and one substitute (potentially to become permanent). Experience in supervisory roles is advantageous. We are hiring a cook for Päivölän opisto’s kitchen. We seek one cook for permanent employment and another for a substitute position, with potential for permanent employment. The worksite is located at Päivöläntie 52, 37770 Tarttila, Valkeakoski. Päivölän opisto has operated since 1894 and has its own kitchen. Tasks include food preparation and various kitchen responsibilities, cleaning of kitchen and dining areas, self-monitoring and waste management. As we are an educational institution serving high school students, we value a guiding pedagogical customer-service approach. The ideal candidate has prior experience in similar roles and restaurant industry training, and the ability to prepare larger quantities of tasty meals. The role requires Finnish proficiency as the main working language. The school also hosts young people and adults; operates every other weekend on average and also in July. It is advantageous to be able to travel by car, and housing assistance can be provided. Päivölän kansanopisto follows Sivistan collective agreement for private education sector.
