Would you like to lead a children's home and help build a new, school-oriented and high-quality child protection service? Go Strong’s Siikajärvi children’s home opens a leadership role that combines daily care leadership with active service development. We are developing specialized shelter care and preparing to launch a new demanding psychosocial support unit. The role emphasizes multi-disciplinary teamwork, school-oriented and rehabilitative everyday life, animal-assisted activities, and use of the StrongApp digital system. As the director, you will be responsible for operational leadership of the unit, care and upbringing work in collaboration with the team and the supervising supervisor, ensuring quality and development of specialized services, launching and building new psychosocial support work, HR leadership of staff, self-monitoring, quality and customer processes, and financial and operational management. You will oversee customer relationships and collaboration with wellbeing services, support school-oriented and rehabilitative daily life, utilize StrongApp in leadership of work and activities, and cooperate with networks of youths and their families, schools and other partners. You will be supported by Go Strong’s multidisciplinary structures and other management. The unit director also participates in Go Strong’s shared leadership and development of the group’s homes. What we expect: you will act as the responsible manager under child welfare law section 60, requires a suitable university degree, field knowledge and adequate leadership skills. You should have experience in child welfare substitute care, ability to lead staff clearly, calmly and purposefully, understanding the needs of youths with challenging symptoms, interest in school-oriented, rehabilitative work with families, responsibility and ability to handle everyday details, development-minded and practical approach, strong collaboration and communication skills, and good Finnish speaking and writing skills. Desirable: experience in supervisory roles, demanding child welfare, youth psychiatry interface or neuropsychiatric work, finance or business responsibility or use of digital tools.
