About the role

We are seeking a bilingual early childhood educator with a broad-aligned special education focus who is passionate about development work and international mindedness. The role requires strong special education expertise, enjoyment of teamwork, and the ability to support every child’s individuality. The successful candidate will work in a multicultural environment, contribute to an inclusive teaching culture in collaboration with the unit director, and participate in planning and evaluating support processes. The unit operates eight groups, two of which are pre-school groups, and collaborates with Vantaa National International School. You will assess children’s support needs, plan and implement supports, and evaluate outcomes, while guiding colleagues in inclusive practices. Good Finnish language skills (written and spoken) are required. The position follows ProVaka practice to support social skills development, and you will work with other staff and stakeholders to apply these principles. We offer a flexible, supportive, international work environment with opportunities for professional development, mentoring, and involvement in decision-making through the leadership team. The salary is decided according to the municipal teachers’ collective agreement, with additional allowances for specific qualifications and experience. The role is full-time, onsite at Hagelstamintie 1, Vantaa. If you are interested, contact the principal, Marja-Sisko Pohjola, or apply via our recruitment system.
