About the role

Astex Engineering Oy is growing and developing, and we are looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to strengthen our production quality control. In this position you will be responsible especially for the inspection and quality monitoring of machined and welded components. You will work closely with production, supervisors and engineering and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality processes. Key responsibilities include inspection and measurement of machined parts, quality inspection of welded structures and products, ensuring that manufactured products meet drawing specifications and requirements, documentation of measurement and inspection results, continuous monitoring of production quality, identifying, documenting and handling quality deviations, providing quality-related guidance and instructions to production personnel, developing measurement and inspection methods, preventing quality issues and following up on corrective actions. What We Expect from You: A suitable technical education or practical experience in the engineering or metalworking industry. Experience in machining, dimensional inspection, welding or quality control is advantageous. You should be able to read and understand technical drawings and have a good understanding of dimensional tolerances and quality requirements for machined and fabricated components. We are looking for a person who is accurate, systematic and practical. The role also requires the ability to guide production employees and address quality deviations in a constructive but determined manner.
