Perioperative Nurse

Are you the perioperative nursing professional we are looking for? We have a permanent nurse position open in the operating theatre and anesthesia unit at Kanta-Häme Central Hospital in Hämeenlinna. You will start according to the agreement. In the operating department we care for patients of all ages across multiple specialties. The unit operates ten elective operating rooms during office hours and two on-call operating rooms. We are an on-call hospital, so a on-call team is present in the operating activities 24/7. The job is on three shifts. We offer diverse duties in the operating and anesthesia unit, with opportunities to work in operative nursing, anesthesia and recovery care, and discharge of patients directly from the operating theatre. Over 100 nurses work in the unit and we operate in multi-disciplinary teams that participate in developing the operating activity. We provide thorough orientation and training opportunities both in-house and externally. Physicians and nursing professionals hold ward sessions that provide concrete training for different patient groups. We moved to the new Ahvenisto hospital Assi in March 2026. We make quick decisions, provide high-quality care to our surgical patients and act responsibly and reliably. We hope you enjoy multidisciplinary teamwork. Your job will require the ability and interest to work in a technical care environment and to respond quickly to changing situations. It would be great if you have previous perioperative nursing experience. Perioperative studies are a plus, but a strong willingness to learn is the most important thing. Please apply! We require a legally certified nurse degree in Finland. There are diverse training opportunities for all staff. The role salary is 3171.01 €/month. In addition, a contingent pay increase based on experience (3%–8%) is paid.
