JOBS AVAILABLE AS PERSONAL ASSISTANT We are now looking for new personal assistants for our clients for important but flexible assistance work. The job is paid work under the private social services sector collective agreement and suits those seeking full-time, part-time, occasional, or gig work. As a personal assistant you decide how much and when you work, so the job also fits alongside other work or studies. You do not need any special training for the assistant role; the right attitude and reliability are the most important qualities. At Aarre Avustajilla you will receive continuous support and guidance from your own supervisor, and you will never be left with your questions alone. WHAT DOES A PERSONAL ASSISTANT DO? Personal assistance is a service where the assistant acts as the client’s hands and feet, carrying out tasks the client would do themselves but cannot do alone due to disability or illness. The aim is to help the client with everyday tasks at home and outside the home. Typical tasks include helping the client in shopping, going out, eating, cooking, dressing, hobbies or housekeeping. WHAT KIND OF PERSON IS SUITABLE? We have found that the best personal assistants have the right attitude and a willingness to help. The assistant should be reliable, positive, helpful, diligent and people-oriented. No prior experience is required; every new assistant is trained in a comprehensive onboarding program at Aarre Akatemia before starting work. Experience or education in caregiving can be an advantage for some clients. WHAT SHIFTS ARE AVAILABLE AND CAN I INFLUENCE THEM? Personal assistance is provided on weekdays and weekends, and shifts are often available from morning to evening. With Aarre Avustajat you can influence how much and when you want to work and for which client. We aim to match clients’ needs with assistants’ preferences so that it works for everyone. You will always meet a potential new client before the engagement begins, and if something doesn’t work as you expected, we can find a suitable alternative together. You can work as an assistant for multiple clients if you wish. HOW TO APPLY The recruitment is ongoing, so please fill in the job application form carefully.
