About the role

Come and push your journey to the next level! A taste of what you’ll do: The Frontend Developer works on our in-house projects: designing features, writing code, performing code reviews, and solving problems. The Frontend Developer is part of a development team that owns and drives continuous improvement of their respective business domain using agile methodologies, and is expected to make effective use of modern development practices, including AI-assisted tooling, to work efficiently and to a high standard. Building efficient, testable, and reusable UI components. Solving complex performance problems and architectural challenges. Troubleshooting application and code issues. Integrating REST and GraphQL APIs, and proposing new ones where needed. Making effective use of client-side storage solutions. Maintaining and refactoring application features to improve performance, including legacy code. Conducting analysis of UX/UI projects and application requirements. Helping track requests, issues, work progress, and other changes. Using AI tools thoughtfully to support development, testing, and documentation (e.g. code review assistance, test generation, MCP-based workflows), as an enhancement to sound engineering practice, not a substitute for understanding the code. Responsibilities may evolve over time in line with business needs. Who and what we are after? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. At least 3 years’ experience in a comparable software development role. Experience with Vue is required; familiarity with other SPA frameworks/libraries is an advantage but not a substitute. Extensive knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript. Strong knowledge of semantic HTML5 and modern CSS3 (e.g. Flexbox, Grid). Hands-on experience with Vite or similar build tools such as Webpack. Proficient with version control systems, including Git. Experience resolving cross-browser and cross-device compatibility issues. Experience consuming REST and GraphQL APIs. Comfortable working with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. AI coding assistants, MCP integrations) as part of a modern workflow. Nice to have: Experience with real-time communication handling (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, or similar). Experience with iframe interactions and cross-origin communication (postMessage). Basic knowledge of Docker. Basic familiarity with the Unix shell. Basic understanding of SEO best practice. Basic knowledge of SQL. Ability to read and understand PHP code, useful for interfacing with legacy code on some projects. Employee benefits: private health insurance, wellness allowance, breakfast & lunch prepared daily in our penthouse kitchen, birthday leave, team-building events, relocation package to Malta, and more. Apply for this job and join the Immense Group team.
