About the role

Summary: Red Hat Consulting teams are hiring an AI Driven Development Consultant for our Tokyo office. In this role you will identify DevOps challenges for customers and apply software engineering techniques and generative AI to improve development processes, coach teams, implement Scrum and DevOps adoption, provide technical advisory, and support digital transformation for client organizations. You will collaborate closely with presales and consulting teams in Red Hat and partner ecosystems to combine Red Hat solutions and services to deliver excellent consulting outcomes. Responsibilities include guiding development teams to deliver successful projects, ensuring organizational capability building so client projects succeed consistently, understanding business requirements, designing and implementing solutions that fit those requirements using Red Hat and partner cloud/DevOps technologies, and partnering with internal Red Hat teams (Product Engineering, Business Development, Consulting, Support, Sales) to deliver outstanding customer experiences. You will play a key role in shaping technology roadmaps as a trusted senior advisor and help communicate Red Hat services, products and case studies to existing and potential customers.

Requirements

Strong software engineering experience with Web services and mission-critical systems; experience with generative AI in development and operations; leadership experience as a lead engineer or technical consultant; coaching and development of high-performing teams and processes; consulting core skills (logic, problem solving, analysis, documentation, presentations, facilitation, negotiation); ability to build trust with executives; basic knowledge of Agile and Scrum; English communication skills; passion for open source technologies; experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift.
