Project manager

In the project, the possibilities for cooperation between municipalities in organizing basic education are being explored and various cooperation models developed. The project is funded by the participating municipalities and the Ministry of Education and Culture. Your tasks as project manager: you are responsible for the project’s overall coordination, implementation, and achieving objectives according to the project plan; create situational awareness and a knowledge base for future solutions and action plans; plan and develop inter-municipal cooperation models for organizing basic education; prepare structural, operational, and network-based cooperation solutions and action proposals. Requirements: a suitable higher education degree; fluent Finnish and Swedish in spoken and written form; good understanding of basic education, municipal decision-making, and public administration; ability to lead cooperation processes and networks between many actors; willingness to travel to project municipalities, requiring use of a personal car. Advantages: local knowledge; competence in distance education, digital solutions, or pedagogical development; knowledge of legislation related to basic education. Terms: the position is temporary and full-time for the duration of the project. Work site is within the project municipalities; there is also a possibility for partial remote work. Project implementation requires visits to municipalities within the project area. Employment terms follow the Municipal Employees’ General Collective Agreement (KVTES). Interviews will be held on 17.9.2026.
