We are seeking a mechanical design engineer for ABB Motors and Generators' Helsinki unit in Pitäjänmäki, on a permanent contract. The role suits an engineer at the early stage of their career who has some experience in mechanical design and a desire to advance to more demanding design tasks. In this role you will work in a specialist team focused on electrical machines and participate in customer- and project-specific product and maintenance design projects. You will partly be responsible for designing technical solutions and producing documentation for internal use and for external stakeholders. You will also serve as a technical expert supporting production and collaborate closely with electrical design, product development, sales, and production. We expect: - A degree suitable for the task (e.g., mechanical engineering) - Experience in mechanical design in an industrial environment, through internships or academic projects - Knowledge of 2D and 3D design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, NX or equivalent) - Interest in technical challenges and a willingness to learn - Proactive and collaborative work attitude - Proficiency in Finnish and English We offer: the opportunity to work with interesting electro-mechanical technologies as part of an experienced expert team.
