We are looking for a part-time speech and language therapist to join our pediatric health services team for a fixed-term position at 90% (Jämsä 50% and Jyväskylä 40%) with work until 31 December 2026. There is also the possibility to work part-time only in Jämsä (50%) or Jyväskylä (40%). Primary work location at start is the Jämsä Auvilantie site. You will work 50% of the time in Jämsä (3 days a week) and about 40% in Jyväskylä (2 days a week). If desired, there is a possibility to continue at 40% at the Jyväskylä site from 1 January 2027 to 28 February 2027. In your role you will serve your own client base; most clients are children, but adults are also served. Your duties include assessment, rehabilitation, guidance to local communities and multi-professional collaboration as needed. The regional rehabilitation team includes a variety of professionals, and we have an open atmosphere, good collegial support and opportunities to use your strengths in work. You are part of the regional rehabilitation team and you will cooperate closely with e.g. occupational and physical therapists, early childhood education and the child welfare clinic. The work emphasises collaboration with the client, their family and other actors. There is room for developing work and trying new methods, and we plan activities together. You will receive comprehensive orientation and support from a broad group of colleagues. There is ample time for familiarisation, and orientation can be done both in person and remotely. In the work community, consultative discussions are regularly organised. Partial remote work is possible in the position. The job-specific salary range with 100% workload is 4466.46–4539 €/month. In addition to base pay, we pay a 3% supplement after 5 years and 8% after 10 years of work experience. As a public employer, statutory longer annual leave is granted. Requirements: qualification under the Health Care Professionals Act (559/1994): licensed speech and language therapist. We also consider speech therapy students who are nearing graduation for temporary positions. We value open and collaborative approach, initiative, independence and teamwork, willingness to learn and develop together with the team. We require fitness for work under the Infectious Diseases Act §48 (chickenpox, measles). Employer will determine need for influenza and pertussis vaccines. Terms are governed by the Social Welfare and Health Care Sector Collective Agreement (SOTE). Probationary period applies. Criminal record extract required for work with children.
