We are seeking a dedicated social pedagogue in early childhood education to join our multi-professional team at Ylästön day care in Vantaa. The role involves collaborative planning, implementation and evaluation of pedagogical activities with other professionals, and responsibility for co-parenting with families. You will promote inclusivity and participation with guardians and other child-service actors, develop services and new practices to support child and family well-being, and guide children, families and guardians. The unit operates with a shared leadership model and emphasizes an engaging, supportive and equal workplace culture. The day care hosts 17 early childhood education professionals and additional support staff, and is part of the Ylästö unit which includes three day cares. Training and development opportunities are provided; we emphasize calm, child-centered interactions, flexible teamwork and a culture of continuous improvement. The position is permanent and located at Ylästön day care with a 38 h 15 min work week. Salary is 3113–3218 EUR per month, plus seniority- based pay addition (3–8%).

Responsibilities
- Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in planning, implementing and evaluating pedagogical activities
- Be responsible for family-related child-rearing cooperation
- Strengthen community and inclusion in collaboration with guardians and other child-family actors
- Develop services and new practices to promote child and family well-being and community
- Monitor child well-being and provide guidance to children, families and guardians
- Work in a 2–4 year old group in collaboration with a teacher and a nurse
- Support children's friendships and social-emotional skills
- Treat each child with sensitivity and presence in daily situations
- Promote child participation and voice
- Implement ProVaka model principles in daily work
- Join a permanent, full-time role starting September 2026
