Head of Department

This is a permanent position in Helsinki (Ilmalan area) within the Vesihuollon investoinnit department. The role leads the overall investment activities for water utilities, including strategic planning, development of investment processes, and monitoring of finances. You will oversee construction and procurement processes in line with public procurement regulations, and drive customer experience improvements for investment projects. The candidate should hold a suitable master's degree or engineering degree, have practical experience in similar roles, and be proficient in domestic languages for the bilingual service area. The job involves leadership experience, strategic planning for investments, and construction-related responsibilities, with emphasis on collaboration with the procurement unit. Also valued are experience in water utilities or construction in urban environments and ability to manage contractual practices and processes. Proficiency in English is appreciated.
