Unit Manager

The vacancy is for Unit Managers in Eastern Finland. The role involves taking responsibility for the unit’s performance, people, and customers, and building a winning team together with the VV-Kuivaus crew. The job includes overseeing project leadership for the unit, managing renovation and restoration projects from start to finish, planning schedules and resources, and ensuring work progresses with high quality, cost efficiency, and on schedule. You will focus on customer collaboration, project management, and people leadership. The work is varied and hands-on, not confined to an office. Responsibilities include profit and supervisory duties, on-site supervision of repair and renovation sites, project management, scheduling, client relationships (private customers, property managers, insurance companies), preparing estimates and calculations for insurers, directing employees, reviewing material selections with clients, ensuring quality and safety, and conducting final inspections and post-work discussions with staff. Requirements include construction-related education or strong practical experience in renovation construction, technical understanding of building processes, ability to anticipate, plan, and manage multiple sites, good communication and customer service skills, proficient spoken and written Finnish, stress resistance and people skills, a driving license class B and willingness to travel within Kuopio and nearby municipalities. Preferred qualifications include prior supervisory or leadership experience and experience in claims handling and cooperation with insurers.
