A well-built tomorrow is made together. As a Procurement Engineer at YIT, you play a key role in enabling the financial and quality success of projects. You work closely with projects, advancing commercial procurement models and supplier collaboration, and take part in building diverse commercial-property projects in Western Finland. As Procurement Engineer, you are responsible for tendering, negotiations and contracting for separately agreed procurement packages on construction sites. You monitor market conditions and make procurement decisions with cost, quality and schedule objectives in mind. You develop the partner network, ensure suppliers meet their contractor-liability obligations, and actively participate in developing implementation and productisation solutions together with design coordination, production and the productisation team. Your workplace is our Turku office. What will help you succeed in the role - Education as a construction foreman, construction engineer or Master of Science in Technology, or suitable commercial education - Several years of experience in procurement duties for different commercial-property projects - Experience with different contract forms and renovation projects is an advantage - Genuine interest in procurement and a desire to learn and develop as a professional in the field - Good IT skills and the ability to adopt new systems and support their implementation - A service-minded, customer-oriented approach and strong negotiation and interaction skills - Ability to manage procurement for several projects at the same time and understanding of the overall importance of centralised procurement - Fluent Finnish; other language skills are an advantage - Ability to use your own car at work How you succeed at YIT You understand customer needs, and customer value guides your daily work and decision-making.
