Sales Assistant

Primary location: YLÖJÄRVI We are seeking adults to fill full-time positions as SALES ASSISTANTS at Prisma Ylöjärvi, permanent contracts (20-30 h/week). Proficiency in Finnish language is required. We have found that work descriptions are often embellished with decorative phrases that may be true, but at Pirkanmaa Cooperative we say we are in ordinary jobs. We are looking for versatile people for the cashier and shelf-stocking roles. We operate as a single team, so your workday may consist of various tasks. We work among people, so we hope you have a genuine desire to provide customer service and be a good teammate. We operate varying shifts, including holidays and weekends. Prisma Ylöjärvi serves customers Mon-Sat 7:00-22:00 and Sun 9:00-22:00; you should be available for all shifts. Note that commuting to the location by public transport can be challenging especially for early morning and late evening shifts. The seller’s work is increasingly digital, so we expect you to be action-oriented and proficient with store systems and IT tools. You’ll succeed in the role when you master basic usage of the central store systems and are eager to learn. As a seller you will use both the caisse system and mobile devices, and you will utilise the store’s back-office systems to streamline daily operations. The job also includes electronic price displays, product scanning, and processing online store orders, as well as using MS Office applications such as PowerBI and SharePoint. We hope you bring positive energy and a desire to improve a little every day. Previous experience in similar roles or food industry training is advantageous but not mandatory.
