Research Scientist, Photonics and Quantum chip integration and packaging

As a Research Scientist, you will: Contribute to R&D on photonics and quantum device integration technologies together with design and manufacturing experts. Design integration and packaging concepts and/or develop and carry out assembly processes and related characterisation tasks, depending on your strengths and interests. Plan and execute assembly, packaging and testing experiments, analyse results and solve technical challenges. Communicate research plans and results in meetings, reports and presentations. Publish scientific results in journals and conference proceedings. Support the preparation of new research and customer projects. Manage small R&D projects, depending on your interests. Who we are looking for: You have experience or a strong interest in photonic devices and their integration technologies. Experience in device packaging, assembly processes, high-frequency electronics or quantum technologies is highly valued. Knowledge of microelectronics, semiconductors, optoelectronics, electronics manufacturing, microsystems, thermal management, cleanroom processes or project management is considered an asset. You have a master’s degree, preferably a doctorate, in photonics, electronics, quantum technology, physics or a related field. You communicate fluently in English.
