About the role

ReOrbit is looking for Director of Sales. In this position, you will own ReOrbit's global sales strategy across OrbitCloud and Silta, building and leading an international sales organization while personally driving strategic deals with government, defence, and commercial customers. As our Director of Sales, you will work closely with our leadership team, engineering, and program management functions to translate ReOrbit's sovereign, software-first satellite capabilities into signed contracts; balancing long defence procurement cycles with the speed our customers expect from a new space company. It's an exciting chance to join a dynamic start-up, with the opportunity to build a sales function from the ground up and shape how the world's most demanding customers buy space infrastructure. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute ReOrbit's global sales strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives. • Build, lead, mentor, and grow an international sales organization focused on government, defence, and commercial customers. • Identify, develop, and close strategic satellite, space infrastructure, and sovereign communications opportunities. • Own the full sales lifecycle from opportunity qualification through proposal development, negotiations, and contract signature. • Build trusted relationships with senior government officials, defence organizations, space agencies, telecom operators, and strategic partners. • Work closely with engineering and program management teams to ensure customer requirements are translated into winning technical and commercial solutions. • Develop account strategies for key customers and establish long-term framework agreements. • Lead commercial negotiations for multi-million-euro contracts. • Maintain accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management and CRM discipline. • Represent ReOrbit at international conferences, exhibitions, customer meetings, and executive level engagements. • Support strategic partnerships, channel development, and market expansion initiatives. • Continuously monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging customer requirements. Skills and Requirements • 8+ years of experience in enterprise or complex B2G/B2B sales, with a strong track record of closing large, multi-stakeholder deals. • Experience selling into defence, government, or space/satellite markets strongly preferred. • Proven ability to build and lead a sales team in a fast-growing, early stage environment. • Comfort operating in long sales cycles with ambiguous procurement processes, without losing momentum or discipline. • Strong understanding of satellite communications, Earth observation, or related deep-tech markets or the ability to get there fast. • Excellent communicator, equally credible in a room with military leadership or startup engineers. • Willingness to travel frequently and internationally. • Direct, no-nonsense working style, comfortable with speed, ambiguity, and high ownership. What does ReOrbit do? ReOrbit is a space technology company that manufactures sovereign satellites for national and commercial services.
