Engineering Manager

Lead our new Prepaid Cards team. Prepaid cards are one of Tremendous's largest catalog categories, already processing millions of cards a year. We're expanding into new card types and new countries, and need an EM to build and lead the team as we do so. Grow your engineers' careers through 1:1s, thoughtful feedback, and coaching. Own technical quality — through code reviews, architecture decisions, and setting standards your team is proud of. Report to our Director of Engineering, Chloe. How we manage at Tremendous: We coach developmentally, not reactively. Growing our engineers is a multi-month effort, not a response to the last incident. We address patterns, not one-offs. Fix what's broken. You and your PM decide how your team works. If the process isn't serving you, change it — you don't need permission. Async-first, low-meeting culture. We default to writing things down. You will not be stuck in back-to-back meetings. Stable ground to build on. Our infrastructure is reliable, we rarely have incidents, and our tech debt is under control. You'll be leading a team that ships — not one stuck firefighting. What you’ll bring: 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years leading a team as a manager or tech lead. Great technical judgment. Strong communication skills.
