Career Guidance Advisor

We are seeking a skilled part-time practitioner to deliver Kelan work trial coaching and to guide a youth hobby group. Kelan work trial coaching includes comprehensive planning, implementation and monitoring with the client, guiding and supporting the client through different stages of the trial, seeking trial placements and liaising with employers, supporting the client in everyday life and pursuing employment goals, coordinating network meetings with the client's networks and Kelan, and safeguarding confidentiality and data protection related to client work. The hobby group will plan and implement activities for 13–17 year-olds, engage with youth, map needs and wishes, run activities every other week for about 1.5–2 hours per session, and weekly planning and preparation about 0.5–1 hours per week. The work is based in South Savo, primarily Savonlinna region with travel within South Savo. Requirements include social and health care higher education degree (Bachelor level AMK) with 180 credits and either vocational coaching expertise or an equivalent qualification before 1.8.2018; or a suitable higher education degree such as occupational therapist (AMK), rehabilitation instructor (AMK), or sports physiotherapist; at least two years of work experience in vocational rehabilitation services for unemployed people or other employment-oriented services within the last five years; strong expertise in a content area, target group, or method; self-direction, initiative, development-minded approach; proficiency with basic digital tools; good interaction and teamwork skills; genuine desire to work with the target group; commitment to Valo-Valmennusyhdistys values; and a criminal background check as required by law. The contract is fixed-term until 31 May 2027, under the private social services sector collective agreement (pay grade G24D, hourly wage 17.25–18.84 €/h, depending on experience).
