Social Counselor

We are seeking a Swedish-speaking social counselor for the Swedish-speaking team in the Family Home Care and Social Guidance for the period 1.10.2026–31.8.2027. The role involves planned social guidance and social counselling for Helsinki’s families with children, with extensive cooperation with other Swedish-speaking services within the family center. Responsibilities include client guidance and counselling, need assessment under the Social Welfare Act, and individual/family-oriented planning. Work area is the whole city and the facilities are at the Kal‎lion Family Center. The job is mobile and multi-site, with social guidance delivered during the opening hours of the family centers (7–19). We value an open and proactive attitude, independent work style, strong organizational, communication and collaboration skills, and familiarity with Apotti patient information system and family services system. Our partners include health visitor, home care, family clinic, early childhood education, school, student welfare, and NGOs. Interviews will be held at Kal­­lion Family Center in the afternoon of 9.9.2026. The advertised salary does not yet include the August 2026 general increase.
