This vacancy is part of a government initiative to hire 500 youths in 2026 into fixed-term positions as seasonal workers and university interns. The positions are aimed at youths aged 18–25 entering the labor market for the first time. The Strategy Department handles long-term policy forecasting and planning, aligning national sustainability implementation with government strategy work, preparing government strategies and action plans, reporting on government policy, and supporting cross-ministerial and comprehensive tasks. The department is responsible for monitoring the operating environment and forecasting, societal sustainability assessment, and promoting the use of research-based knowledge in decision-making. The government aims to strengthen AI-based solutions in expert work. The university intern will participate in designing, testing and developing AI-enabled work practices and use cases. A core task is testing and comparing various AI tools, agent solutions, and AI-assisted workflows, and designing lightweight prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions for selected use cases. Additionally, the intern will map and compile various data sources and contribute to designing and experimenting with AI solutions for leveraging research, statistics, regulation, strategy and other data sources.
