The role is a kitchen workshop work trial for youth workshops in Vantaa. The trainee will participate in daily meal preparation for the workshop community in a professional kitchen. In the popular Kuussa café the trainee will practice specialty coffee preparation and customer service. During the work trial a hygiene passport will be completed. The program includes small-group coaching and physical activity. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 15:00. Support is provided for handling matters and planning for the future, such as applying for jobs and studies. The youth workshops are for residents of Vantaa aged 18–28 who are unemployed and seeking work. Guidance is conducted in Finnish and the language proficiency must allow understanding of instructions in Finnish.
