Building Conservator

Building Conservator Would you like to work on a culturally and historically valuable site and be responsible for documenting a renovation site from start to finish? We are seeking a building conservator for a fixed-term, project-based assignment where the work focuses strongly on documentation and reporting. Work description You will be responsible for documenting a building conservation site in cooperation with the site team and the client. The work is mainly office and reporting work, but also includes surveys and photography at the sites. Your duties include: - Conducting initial surveys - Photographing sites - Preparing damage surveys - Documenting chipping depths - Reporting weekly to the Finnish Heritage Agency - Preparing the final report and final documentation Please note that about 90% of the work consists of documentation, reporting and other written work. What we expect Mandatory requirements - Training as a building conservator - A few years of work experience in building conservation - Excellent spoken and written Finnish - Occupational Safety Card - Valtti card - Experience in documentation and reporting work We also value - Experience with protected or culturally and historically significant sites - A careful and systematic approach to work - Good photography and reporting skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a project team Working hours The working week is 40 hours. We aim to arrange longer working days from Monday to Thursday, so Fridays are generally free. The employer will arrange accommodation if necessary and reimburse work-related travel costs according to the agreed practice.
