About the role

Join us as a child welfare social worker in the South Espoo child protection service. Our workplace is built on collaboration, development-mindedness, and a warm, humorous atmosphere. We have a team of 23 social workers, 10 social educators, one coordinator, and two office assistants, led by four senior social workers who are actively involved in daily work. We emphasize supervision, reflection with experienced colleagues, and a supportive, open culture. The role combines independent client work with planned team and partner work. We value teamwork and continuous learning, and new staff are welcomed and thoroughly oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Provide social work in partnership with social workers and independently
  • Guide and counsel children and families, participate in client cases and service needs assessments, planned social support, and participate in on-duty and initial assessments during office hours

Requirements

  • Good interpersonal and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teamwork and network collaboration
  • Experience working with children, youth and families
  • Excellent spoken and written Finnish
  • Interest in systemic child protection
