Welcome to launch a new family rehabilitation unit in Espoo, near the city center. The new unit will be administratively connected to the current Tuomarila Family Support Center, located just a few kilometers away. We are now seeking a Child Welfare Service Manager for a new permanent position at the Pajopolku Family Rehabilitation Unit. The Child Welfare Service Manager acts as the person in charge of the child welfare institution as defined in the Child Welfare Act, is responsible for the implementation and processes of family rehabilitation in the unit, and serves as the immediate supervisor for the work team. You will lead a multidisciplinary team consisting of instructors, a nurse, an occupational therapist, and a family therapist. At Pajopolku, we offer 24-hour family rehabilitation as an outpatient support service for families with children in Western Uusimaa. The unit has space for six families in two different buildings. The goal of rehabilitation is to ensure the growth conditions of children, support parents in their parenting tasks, and strengthen the family's own resources. Our daily work is guided by values of appreciative encounters, community, inclusion, and positivity. Our approach emphasizes feedback-awareness, tenacity, and a permission-seeking method, as well as community. Your duties will be to manage and evaluate client work and actively participate in the development of family rehabilitation, your own work, and professionalism. Family rehabilitation involves presence in the family's everyday life, guidance, modeling, and reflecting on situations together with the family and the work team, as well as network work. We utilize various methods, such as Hoilei, the MIM assessment method, and many different family work methods. Rehabilitation periods are planned and implemented together with the family and the social worker, taking the child's special needs into account. The Child Welfare Service Manager participates in the management group work of family rehabilitation services and in the development of work at the wellbeing services county level together with service managers of other child welfare service units and the child welfare service supervisor. Group supervision for family rehabilitation supervisors is provided to support the work. Eligibility requirements: A higher education degree suitable for the position in accordance with Section 46 a, paragraph 3 of the Social Welfare Act. The position requires leadership skills demonstrated in practical work and/or through education, as well as work experience in child welfare. The position requires: Knowledge of child welfare processes, excellent interaction and community skills, expertise in network work, decision-making and pressure-tolerance ability, good oral and written Finnish language skills, documentation skills, and a development-oriented approach. Performing the duties also requires a driver's license and driving skills. Those selected for the position may be randomly asked for a drug test certificate in accordance with the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county's substance abuse program. We value experience in family rehabilitation, working with families with infants, and expertise in family work methods such as MIM, Hoivaa ja leiki, and family assessment methods. Experience working with substance abuse and mental health problems, as well as experience working with families with immigrant backgrounds. Additionally, we value an understanding of community elements and enthusiasm for developing and utilizing them in 24-hour family rehabilitation.
