Position of Chief of Emergency Medical Services in the Kainuu wellbeing services county. Are you the strong EMS professional and developing leader we are looking for? We are seeking a Chief of Emergency Medical Services for a versatile and responsible position in the Kainuu wellbeing services county, where you will influence the development of EMS services and daily operational efficiency across the region. Kainuu's EMS services operate as part of the health and medical care sector and the acute care service area, together with emergency services, the acute home hospital, and the situation center. EMS in Kainuu has eight stations and a staff of approximately 120 professionals. We operate on a multi-provider model: the wellbeing services county's own units provide advanced life support (ALS) EMS, and partners complement the service with basic life support (BLS) EMS. Together, we build a smooth, effective, and safe EMS service for the people of Kainuu. In your role as Chief of Emergency Medical Services, you will play a central role in the management and development of EMS. Your responsibilities include: - operational management of the EMS service and ensuring smooth operations - strategic planning and implementation of development - financial planning, monitoring, and evaluation of operational impact - stakeholder cooperation both regionally and within the northern YTA area - supervisory work and supporting the well-being of staff You will work in close cooperation with the chief physician of EMS, supervisors, and the service area manager of acute care, as well as maintain extensive cooperation with other wellbeing services counties, hospitals, and authorities.
