Executive director position at a traditional football club in Vaasa. The role covers daily operational leadership, administration and development of activities, working closely with the board to implement strategy and create favorable conditions for players, coaches, volunteers and partners. Responsibilities include managing daily operations and development of the club, financial administration (budgeting, sales, invoicing, financial tracking), coordinating staff, coaches, team managers, volunteers and other actors, handling communications, marketing and external partnerships, developing cooperation with sponsors and municipalities, contributing to strategic planning and implementation, and planning and leading club events and activities. The candidate should have experience in club activities (preferably football or sports), understanding of administrative work and sports administration, strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills, ability to work systematically and independently, willingness to cooperate with volunteers, coaches, players, parents, partners and other stakeholders, and a mindset to carry projects forward and develop activities long term. Proficiency in Finnish and Swedish, a valid driving license and willingness to undergo background checks are also required. Requirements
- Experience in club activities, preferably football or another sport
- Understanding of administrative work and athletic administration
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work systematically, independently and goal-oriented
- Willingness to collaborate with volunteers, coaches, players, parents, partners and other stakeholders
- Ability to drive projects forward and develop activities long-term
- Finnish and Swedish language proficiency
- Valid driving license
