Structural Designer

Would you like to help extend the life of buildings and solve exciting renovation challenges? Are you interested in changes of use for buildings? Our client INTEC is looking for a Structural Designer for the Helsinki Käpylä office. In this role you will plan a range of renovation projects, such as changes of use, service-linen renovations and major improvements. You will take full responsibility for smaller assignments from design through client communications, budgeting, invoicing and financial monitoring of projects. The office is located in Käpylä, Helsinki. The employment is permanent and full-time. Weekly hours are 37.5 with a 8–16, flexible schedule. Occasional travel within Finland is expected. Responsibilities include: - Renovation design for commercial, office, public buildings, industrial properties and residential buildings and various conversion projects - Ensure high-quality execution of design projects - Prepare structural plans, drawings and calculations - Support the sales team with expertise for bidding - QA of design documents and tracking of schedules - Monitor progress and report to management - Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors and authorities. Requirements include: - Suitable technical education (e.g. AMK in Structural Engineering, DI or equivalent) - Relevant experience in structural design - Solution-oriented, responsible and proactive approach - Good interpersonal and negotiation skills - Proficiency in structural design software (AutoCAD, Tekla Structures) - Methodical and proactive work style - Language skills: Finnish and English.
