Practical Nurse

We are seeking a practical nurse for a fixed-term position at Norlandia PuijonUppee in Kuopio. The role focuses on basic care for residents, ensuring safety and wellbeing, and enabling meaningful daily life. You will work in teams with shared responsibilities, organize your work and communicate clearly. The residents are at the core of our operation; common outdoor activity brightens the daily lives of residents and staff. You will support basic nursing tasks, assist with meals, dressing, mobility and medication administration, and have opportunities to contribute to developing our unique concept together with early childhood education. You will be an important part of a motivated and development-friendly team. Requirements include compassionate interaction with elderly residents and families, energised approach to elder care, qualification as a practical nurse or completion of 2/3 of the studies, vaccination against infectious diseases (as per law), a hygiene card, proficient Finnish (or a language level of YKi3/B1 if Finnish is not your mother tongue), and a clean criminal record before starting (with possible verification during the probation period for long-term positions). You will participate in a hands-on, people-oriented work environment that often brings dogs to the workspace.
