Early Childhood Educator

The City of Parkano's early childhood education is seeking a temporary substitute early childhood educator for the period 7 September 2026 – 31 July 2027. Your duties as an early childhood educator include ensuring the child's overall well-being and supporting the child's growth and development in collaboration with the work community and families. A key aspect of the role is an appreciating, individualized approach to the child and interactive engagement. You will work as part of a team. The position requires development‑minded responsibility, teamwork, self‑guided and positive, solution‑oriented ways of working, and the ability to guide a group of children. We value strong interaction skills that consider the needs of the child and the work environment, as well as a flexible ability to adapt to changing situations and to different groups. Work is shift-based. A qualification under the Varhaiskasvatuslaki (540/2018) §28 is required. Salary is determined according to KVTES. A 6‑month trial period applies.
