The Seinäjoki factory is a key Valio production site producing a wide range of dairy-based products for domestic and export needs. The plant is in a strong development phase with sustainability at the core of its future competitiveness. The Food 2.0 project (2024–2030) is a strategic R&D program aimed at developing more resource-efficient and environmentally friendly production models as part of the future food system. We are seeking a Development Specialist for water efficiency tasks in a year-long fixed-term role. Your responsibilities include developing the factory’s water efficiency as part of the Food 2.0 project, such as drafting the factory’s water balance and identifying, analyzing and implementing short- and long-term measures to improve water efficiency in the production environment. The role supports advancing the plant toward a closed-loop operation and creating solutions that can be used at other Valio production sites. The role sits within the Seinäjoki factory’s HSEQ organization. The job requires active presence at the site and close collaboration with production and other stakeholders. The work is project-based and requires the ability to carry ideas from planning to practical implementation. We are looking for an autonomous, innovative and developmentalist professional with ambition to drive changes and improve operations. You should have insight into water management and process optimization and enthusiasm to seek new solutions with various stakeholders.
