The Position: As a Business Developer, you will be responsible for designing, communicating, developing and implementing the business and marketing strategy for the Blood Bank and Serology portfolio within the SAN subregion (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia). You will act as a strategic link with the market, capturing opportunities with agility and incorporating market intelligence and emerging trends. You will work collaboratively with the Infectious Diseases Disease Management Squad and multidisciplinary teams to expand market share, ensure end-to-end commercial execution, deliver value to customers and raise the standard of patient care. The Opportunity: Strategic Planning – design and implement business development plans aligned with the Disease Management Squad; define strategy and prioritise tactics, adapt global/regional guidelines to the SAN network context and set pricing positioning. Commercial Management & Bids – manage and validate proposals (GDC), adjust price lists and actively support in preparing and defending public and private bids. Execution & Technical Support – lead end-to-end business development projects, provide scientific and technical support to customers and train Roche’s commercial roles and distributor channels. Market Intelligence – proactively gather market and customer insights to share with the squad, shaping strategy and integrating customer perspective into squads and regional networks. Strategic Relationships & Co-creation – identify new opportunities with field teams and co-create key account plans with KAMs; build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders. Internal Synergy – collaborate with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Healthcare Manager and Customer Experience to optimise KPIs, resource allocation and BP & IP financial plans. Who you are: Academic Formation in Natural Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related fields; postgraduate studies or MBA highly valued. Experience in business development, product marketing, applications specialist or sales within the in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) or pharmaceutical industry. Critical Technical Knowledge in serology and molecular biology; solid understanding of diagnostic techniques and NAT testing for blood banks. English language at an advanced level (B2, C1 or C2). Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills; agile and collaborative working styles; data-driven, systems-thinking mindset with problem-solving ability. Mobility: frequent travel within the SAN cluster (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia). This position does not offer relocation benefits. Who we are: Roche is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
