Social Pedagogue in Early Childhood Education and Care

Sievi municipality’s early childhood education services have a vacancy for a substitute social pedagogue in early childhood care until 31 July 2027, with a start on 7 September 2026. The placement is at Linnunlaulu day care center. The aim of the service is to promote equality and inclusive participation for children and to support a positive and engaging learning environment in collaboration with a skilled staff team. The social pedagogue’s core duties involve promoting children’s holistic well-being and development in a group setting, participating in planning, implementation, documentation, evaluation and development of early childhood pedagogy, and contributing to family service guidance and collaboration in multidisciplinary networks to strengthen child and family well-being, resources and community. Qualifications required: local regulation under the relevant law (varhaiskasvatuslaki 27 §), working time 38.25 h/week, terms in accordance with KVTES. A criminal background check is required for those working with children. Six-month probation applies.
