Unit Manager

Sorcolor Oy is Finland’s largest painting company specializing in exterior painting. We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented Unit Manager for the Satakunta region. The role will be to lead the Satakunta unit, i.e. be a leader. You will lead the unit together with the regional sales manager. Your duties include organizing work for about 50 employees during the summer season. You budget, forecast and lead your unit’s production and finances. The Area Director is your supervisor and you will have a top team of other unit managers and administration to help you succeed. Production management means recruiting, planning of tasks, scheduling and on-site leadership. In daily work you will be supported by line management and of course Sorcolor’s cheerful painters. The role requires stress tolerance. Managing the unit’s business requires the ability to organize dozens of work sites simultaneously, even in a hectic environment. At the same time you take care of the most important thing for us, the customer. You work with people. Cooperation and interaction skills are therefore highly valued. The job is seasonal; summer months are busy when painting works are ongoing. In autumn and winter it is quieter, when holidays are taken and planning for the new season begins. Colleagues (other unit heads) have different educational backgrounds, but all are united by goal orientation, perseverance, responsibility and ambition to lead and develop the unit and Sorcolor’s operations. Salary: fixed monthly salary starting from €3,500, negotiable, plus bonuses based on your unit’s success. Employment form: permanent.
