Caregiver

We are seeking flexible, meaningful part-time care work in Lieksa, Finland. Honkalampi-säätiö sr invites casual caregivers (on-call) to Teeritie 1, Lieksa, for Teeritie service home in Polvijärvi/Kurjenpolvi. Eligible backgrounds include licensed caregiver (lähihoitaja), social welfare student (sosionomi) or nurse (sairaanhoitaja). The facility provides 24/7 supported living for 18 adults with developmental disabilities, built on participation, safety and the right to live life in their own way. Responsibilities include providing care and wellbeing support, assisting residents with daily tasks (household activities, shopping, outdoor activities) and planning joint activities with residents (e.g., movement, baking, games, trips, digital skills, or simply spending time together). As a casual worker, you will fill substitute roles as needed, with opportunities for longer-term shifts; you decide which requests to accept. Requirements include: relevant social/healthcare education (e.g., lähihoitaja, sairaanhoitaja, sosionomi) or completion of 2/3 of the field, medication administration training and valid medication exams, valid social healthcare card, vaccination protection under Infectious Diseases Act 48 §, hygiene certificate and food-related health clearance. You must present a valid criminal background check before starting. Offer: flexible work as a casual caregiver; hourly pay under the Private Social Services collective agreement (qualifying pay scale G20C); thorough orientation; supportive supervisor and team.
