We are seeking a full-time Finnish language and literature teacher for Maunula Joint School and Helsinki Mathematics High School, for the 2026-09-04 to 2027-06-30 period. Our school serves grades 7–9 and upper secondary, with about 820 students, and is a city of Helsinki contract school as well as a private high school. In the lower grades we have emphasis on mathematics and physical education, English-language classes, and one special class; in the upper secondary we offer a general track and mathematics-specific duties as well as a national mathematics education development task. Our 113-year-old school community in Maunula values learning, equality and inclusion, encounter and care. We are traditional but forward-looking, and we prize initiative, collaboration, and development of teaching for the benefit of young people. Our motto is: Be yourself! The job includes Finnish language and literature as well as Finnish as a second language for grades 7–9, with teaching load as per curriculum duties.
