Social Worker

The unit has six client places for youths aged 12-17. We work closely with families: it is essential to work together with parents and the wider network to support them in daily life. We value AVEKKI, neuropsychiatric expertise, and other special skills in the applicant. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract required for working with children. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Services. Previous experience of at least two years in child protection and care work is an advantage. Professional curiosity, self-reflection, and a developmental approach are important. We especially appreciate a committed, enthusiastic, and creative work attitude towards goal-oriented mentoring. Good communication skills in Finnish, both oral and written, are essential. For foreign applicants, a recognized qualification in Finland and sufficient Finnish language skills are required. In this role, you will work at the core of care and educational work. The job involves guiding children in daily activities and spending quality time with them. The work is long-term and goal-oriented, supporting the child's growth and development through rehabilitative and balanced daily routines. It is a three-shift work, including occasional night shifts. Shifts can be arranged considering the employee’s needs and well-being. The work includes household tasks as part of the 24/7 child protection environment.
