Construction Equipment Technician

Raskaskoneasentaja – Veljekset Ovaska Oy Veljekset Ovaska Oy is a growing infra and earthworks company in Southeast Finland, and we are now seeking skilled heavy equipment technicians to join our team on a permanent basis. In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and operational readiness of our fleet. Our fleet includes excavators, wheel loaders, trucks, and vans. Work mainly takes place in the workshop but may involve field service at job sites when needed. Responsibilities include maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment and vans, fault diagnostics and troubleshooting, repairing hydraulic and electrical faults, preventive maintenance and inspections, and on-site servicing when required. We expect you to have experience with heavy equipment and/or vehicle maintenance, strong technical understanding (hydraulics, electricity, mechanics), ability to work independently, initiative and responsible work attitude, B and C driving licenses, experience with brands such as Volvo, Caterpillar, John Deere or similar machines, experience maintaining vans, welding skills, diagnostic equipment experience, installation of electrical/electronic equipment, keeping vehicle documents up to date, and ability to perform vehicle chassis repairs and maintenance, testing of vehicles, and handling new technologies in vehicles.
